PR Photography Manchester: Hollywood Bowl Summer of Pin Competition

PR shoots are all about getting the balance right—making sure the brand is clear, while keeping the images feeling natural. For this one, I was commissioned by Stripe Communications to shoot the Hollywood Bowl Summer of Pin competition, focusing on the young winner at one of the centres.

Working with Hollywood Bowl, the priority was always branding. Making sure logos, colours and environment were working in the frame, without it feeling forced. Everything needs to look natural, but still be deliberate.

The shoot was a mix of lightly directed moments and more relaxed shots. With a younger subject, it’s about keeping things easy and letting expressions happen, rather than over-controlling it. You guide it, but don’t force it.

At the same time, you’re constantly thinking about usage—press, social, campaign. So it’s not just one image, it’s a full set that works across everything.

In the end, it’s about delivering something clean, usable, and on-brand, but with enough personality to stand out.

As a PR photographer in Manchester, this kind of shoot is about understanding how to capture real moments while making sure the brand lands clearly in every frame.
